During your initial consultation, our dental team at Valley Grace Dental will examine your teeth carefully. We don’t provide teeth whitening if you have ongoing dental problems, such as gingivitis or cavities. Our dental experts first examine your teeth and oral anatomy to ensure you have perfect oral health. If not, we fill the cavities and recommend treatments for the other dental problems before the teeth whitening.
We must also examine your teeth to determine the root cause of your stains. Teeth whitening doesn’t work on all types of stains uniformly — as such, we need to determine the root cause of your discoloration to curate the ideal treatment plan. Before your teeth whitening in Bakersfield, we also measure and note the precise shade of your teeth for comparison.
After curating a treatment plan, we apply a carefully-chosen and safe bleaching solution to your teeth, avoiding the soft tissues and lips. After uniformly applying the bleaching agent, we use a special heating system to catalyze the whitening gel to make it penetrate the tooth’s surface and remove deeply-set stains and discoloration.
Each teeth whitening session lasts for about 15 minutes, but it may be repeated multiple times to achieve the desired results. The procedure is painless and doesn’t involve downtime. You can resume your daily activities with a bright and sparkling smile as soon as you leave our dental clinic.
